ok my ipod touch doesnt update play counts. like i play though any song all the way throughand plug it in to the computer and it says is hasnt played at all. but when plugged in to the computer the play count works fine. any suggestions on how to get play count working on ipod too???
I seem to have an issue that you guys don't have. Interestingly enough, instead of not reporting a play count (although I think that might happen as well), it multiplies the play count. For example, I just played 1 album today (which I had just added so it had 0 plays before this instance) and after checking the play count on iTunes, it was now up to 24 plays. This happens almost without fail but the play count isn't in the same multiple every time. The other day, 1 song jumped up to 961 plays after 1 play. I've just reset the settings so I'll let ya'll know how this works out after I play it some more though I'm not very hopeful. The only explanation I have for this is that I have an iPod cable for my car that's built into the stereo that I used and was meant for earlier generations of iPods. Thus, the new software on the new Touches that the stereo wasn't necessarily programmed to use screw it up. Beats me though.
