10.5.7 - Bluetooth keyboard and mouse not working anymore

I did the same, no luck, my work mouse has dropped connection twice this morning - even worse than before (twice in 10 minutes - before was happening once or twice a day.

I logged a bug report for this.

I followed the suggestion to delete and re-add the bluetooth devices, and this seems to have helped. I have had no problems for the past two days.

Just locked up again, so apparently removing and re-adding is not a permanent solution.

Same experience here: Worked without problems for a couple of days, and then - in the middle of editing a complex drawing in Keynote - the connections to both mouse and keyboard was lost.

Opening the lid on the PowerBook Pro and de-selecting and re-selecting bluetooth restored connections.

I have the same issue. Turning BT off then on solves it. The other fixes (delete and add etc.) have not worked. It did not occur on 10.5.6, only on 10.5.7.

I do have two BT Mighty Mice (one in office, one for on the road). That may be a difference.

Same Here. Mac Book Pro - since 10.5.7 update - Apple Mouse just gives up the ghost. Sometimes a Reconnect works on the Bluetooth menu BUT sometimes, the Bluetooth connect is grayed out until a reboot...

EEEKK.. My mouse needs fixing.. Please. Patch please.

I have the same problems. Happens to 2 different bluetooth mice. It's no any mouse. It's a bug.

Also Apple never, NEVER (ever) responds on these forums. Never. So give that up. Do I agree with their policy? **** no. But it is what it is.

they may not respond but i can assure you they monitor the forums and know this is an issue.
it happens about once a day to me usually when i am scrolling. disconnect then reconnect fixes the issue
if you want to make sure that they know call support and see if they know about this and what to do

Same issue here. 2.5GHz 15-inch MBP (non-unibody).

I tend to run my MBP of late in clamshell mode with a 20-inch Cinema Display attached, and my Apple BT/Mouse keyboard connected. Since the 10.5.7 update, I've had several instances where both the KB and Mouse will stop functioning at the same time. Sometimes I'm able to turn off Bluetooth from the menu item (I have to open the lid, but the trackpad still works), other times after selecting "Turn Bluetooth Off" I get a beachball that doesn't go away until restart.

After a restart, everything's fine again.

Batteries in both the KB and Mouse are new, I don't have any other BT devices connected.

My problem started only after 10.5.7 and sometimes I get the strangest thing: WMM's button stop working.
Most of the time I get the same "disconectivity without disconecting" issue as every one else.

Removing and adding again the devices in the Bluetooth Configuration Panel didn't work for me.

I thought the problem was solved, because I was able to use the mouse and keyboard without interruptions for two days. But the issue just showed up again few minutes ago 😟

Same here. Worked fine for a week and today when I used software update for Quicktime and iTunes update bluetooth mouse and keyboard were gone again on restart. I got going again by turning off both mouse and keyboard and then re-adding.
