Iphone sync error 13019?

Ever since I upgraded to iTunes 8.2 I've been having issues synching. It will copy photos, ringtones, etc, but at some point says that iTunes could not sync "Error 13019".
(reposting in the appropriate forum)

Searching resulted in nothing.

Now my playlists on the phone are wiped out, oddly enough the music is there, but it doesnt show up on the phone. If I connect it to iTunes, it shows the music and the playlists as being there.

I did a reinstall of iTunes and chose a restore from back up, neither has worked.

Anyone else run into this?

Let me just say that the fact that this error has been going on for months and is still a problem, well, that is a problem for me. Anyway, I have not had this issue until after I purchased my iPhone 4, but it was after the latest upgrade. Now I have this error. You would think Apple would have fixed this by now.

I will say Apple has not been bad to me, but it is things like this that really frustrate me. Thanks Apple.

The same thing was happening to my iOS4. I tried unchecking my Music and syncing it then checking the Music and the syncing it again and NOTHING.... the error 13019 still popped up. I also tried restarting the itunes and the computer all together and NOTHING. I also tried a new USB cable and NOTHING.

The only thing that WORKED was restoring the factory settings completly on my phone. I know it takes a while but trust me it's worth it.

Hi All,

I can confirm that the following solution worked for me :
- Deleting all Memo Voices from iTunes
- Deleting all Meme Voices from the iPhone.
Re-syncing again.
I have noticed that lot of my memo voices were duplicates.

I don't understand why iTunes 10.1 didn't detect the 10.1.1 when I asked to find the updates. I had to go on Apple's website to download it...

Thanks for the help !

Sheesh. I finally upgraded to the phone 4 from my 3g due to all the performances issues on the 3g that were introduced by software "upgrades", and within two weeks I lose hours and hours due to Error 13019 sync errors.

I tried everything listed at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2830 to no avail and finally called Apple Support to make an appointment. Before they called me back I resorted to a full reset/restore of my phone, and synched repeatedly, each time adding something else I had previously unchecked (per the instructions at TS2830). All that seemed to work, and that's what I reported to Apple who confirmed that that's what they would have recommended. I expressed my concern that the problem seems to come back, but they said that should not happen in my case since I'm at iTunes 10.1.1 and iOS 4.2.1.

Of course, soon after I hung up I realized I had not synced my ring tones. So I checked "sync ring tones" and did another sync and got the error 13019 again. I also noticed that it was copying voice memos down to my iPhone even though the phone already had all of them.

So, finally, I deleted all my voice memos on the phone, and this time the sync worked. I'm appalled at how long this problem has been open and continues to plague countless customers.

By the way, I lost some app data when I restored my iPhone. For example, the Skype app no longer knew my Skype userid and the game apps started from scratch instead of from where I left off. Is that normal?

I have only had my iphone 3gs replaced on insurance and straight away have been plagued by this fault. I tried all the suggestions on the apple advice site as shown in the link in someones post above and had no joy. The restore button on my itunes homepage has been my last resort. Restore factory settings and then when thats done after 10 mins restore to a previous restore of my sync. I noticed the issue with itunes voice memos are on my iphone itunes list when i click on the iphone symbol arrow in the right pane but they were not in the itunes library as i had deleted them. I guess that was the big issue. I restored the whole **** lot and started again but removed all voice memos from the itunes library before i restored. It worked a treat but took about 30 ins all told... ITS THE ONLY SOLUTION AFTER TRYING EVERYTHING

Deleting the voice memos fixed it for me too. I hardly use the memos until yesterday. Someone did record something I wanted to save so I made a copy of all the memos from the itunes library on my computer and verified them before deleting from both my device and itunes. Then the sync worked.

The only thing I can think of which caused the problem in the first place was I recorded and emailed a new memo just yesterday. That was it. Next sync: no joy. Delete all memos, problem goes away. Apple, please fix this. It has been going on for too long. Device is 3GS with latest IOS as of todays date

I had the same issue with my iPhone 4 today. Deleted my voice memos and made sure I didn't have them checked to sync. Problem solved. This is of course not a good permanent solution, as this shouldn't be causing a problem, but hopefully Apple will get on the ball and fix the bug that makes the OS not sync properly due to voice memos.
