i have been getting the same error and it is very frustrating as i cannot sync music. fortunately while tinkering with itunes i suddenly fixed the problem. first thing is you must delete all duplicates from your itunes library. next you delete all music from your ipod and lastly just copy your music from library to your ipod and voila! i didnt receive the error message ! just wanted to share my experience hope it helps someone out there 🙂

I have tried everything including deleting voice notes as a playlist all together and I cannot get my nano to sync. I checked and unchecked the sync songs, restored several times, ejected and tried plugging in again. Nothing is working. I don't see voice notes anywhere in my library or playlists or anything place where they are checked. Any other suggestions? I have tried over a dozen times.

I am using iTunes under Windows and I think it's terrible, but I limp along. I got a new computer and suddenly found myself seeing this unknown error 13019 BS. I read this thread and discovered I had one single duplicate song, so I deleted that with high hopes. Then I tried synching a podcast and got the unknown error again. GRRR I thought but just for completeness I checked the ipod podcasts and it was there. So my experience is that DESPITE the "unknown error 13019" saying the ipod could not be snched, nevertheless it WAS synched. So I am somewhat mollified.

I don't know though, if this was true prior to removing the duplicate song. It may well have been, I just never looked.

Manual sync is where the problem is coming in most likely and where mine occured.

When you are manually syncing, uncheck all your music. Then go through Manual and add music one by one, not all at once. It is a bit tedious but there is one album or file that is corrupt causing the sync problem.

By adding them one by one and then syncing each time, eventually you will hit on the Album or song that is corrupt. When you do, delete that piece and you are good.

Here is one other thought....Look at pieces you have most recently downloaded first. It seems that most times it starts to happen after a recent piece of music is added.

Hope it helps...
