I have this problem too and the unsyncing and resyncing music didn't help. I'm on an iPod touch 3rd generation so I don't have any voice memos and don't know what else to do. All I know is that I can't play any songs purchased on my iPod from my iPod, only from my computer which is rather annoying since I have a lot of music in there.

Anyone know how to help? 😟

After trawling through hundreds of suggestions & trying them all, I found that my problem was same as yours. duplicate Tony Bennett, it was Duets ll album that I bought from itunes at Christmas. Something they need to look at I think. I actually had 3 copies of it in my library & hadn't noticed. Anyway, I tried what you did & so far it has worked though I haven't yet tried syncing that album again.

Cheers for the help

NEW FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM: I tried all the ideas listed here without success. The reason I was resyncing was because a CD I had uploaded to iTunes and then sync'd to my iPod Touch wasn't playing properly. I had re-uploaded the CD to iTunes and was resyncing when I received the error. I finally deleted the CD contents from iTunes and the sync worked! So my problem was due to a bad CD I loaded into iTunes.
