To Abbylizzy and anyone else with iTouch (not iPhone):

I have been seeing this error recently, and I found that what nescio suggested works: De-select "Automatically fill free space with songs" and then click "Apply" to sync. This should work. (It did for me, anyway!) And then if you do want to fill the free space with songs, just re-select the option and sync again.

Go here....this fixed my problem. I removed include voice memos and auto fill free space with songs and it eliminated the error.

Also worked for me, with an ipod touch. Had to deselect "auto fill free space with songs". The voice memos won't do anything for folks with an ipod touch.

I cannot find the "Voice Memos" tab in the music sync tab. I do not have the VoiceOver tab checked I was thinking that was the "voice memos" I have also deselected and reselected songs and still am getting the error. Any suggestions?

Mine was a Pod-cast that was on the iPod but not in my computer so it cannot be sync. I unchecked the Pod-cast and then synced.

The suggested solution (to uncheck music sync -> apply -> recheck music sync) solved my problem. My problem began when I updated my nano firmware. I appreciate the post.

I have also experienced this error on the 5th Gen IPod. I fixed it my deselecting all songs and deleting any songs marked with an exclamation mark. Then resynced all music to ipod and it worked perfectly.

the funny thing about this, was that i had actually not checked any of those mentioned, which probably was the problem, cause on the summary it said sync only checked songs, and under music i hadn't selected any... so it was kinda fun, and now I'm hoping for some good results...

So my settings for sync are now as following

summary:
Sync only checked songs and videos check

Music:
Sync music checked
entire music library checked
include music videos checked



everything not mentioned in the follow folders are not checked, in the other folders (or what ever they are called, I have checked after necessity)
