Canon G11 RAW format not supported?

I am guessing Aperture does not support the G11 RAW format at this time since I am getting the dreaded red image that says "unsupported format". Is it me or is is anyone else seeing the same thing?

You may have forgotten that JPGs are processed to some extent. The contrast, saturation, and sharpening are all enhanced. RAW images, of course, are not processed. I have found that the sharpening done in the camera when JPGs are shot is not as good as when a RAW image is post-processed with a desktop editing program, such as Aperture. This makes perfect sense when you realize that the tiny little processor in the camera cannot compete with desktop or laptop computer power. My processed RAW shots are much better in terms of sharpness and color rendition than the same shots taken as JPGs. For me, that is reason enough to shoot RAW.

Yes, it is interesting. It is also interesting that CaptureOne now supports the Panasonic G1 and similar cameras. And Aperture doesn't.
