network connection was reset

whenever i now try to purchase music, keep getting the message: Network connection was reset.
and nothing downloads.

have not changed anything; have not reset anything.

what has happened, what can be done.

i have tried a couple of the suggestions listed here:
- "Genius" in the "Store" menu is and has been turned off
- credit card information is and has been completely up to date.

i don't see how this is a "problem solved".

it happens often but not always for me. if i am persistent, i can get my app downloads and my music downloads. sometimes i have to hit the "resume/restart" in the downloads. but once the dialog starts popping up, i have to click it away 2-5 times for every successful app update download, etc.

Well, I tried all of the suggested solutions to no avail. Apple support was useless. I got the impression that it was a completely automated service as I kept getting the same replies over and over again!


However, when I installed a new modem/router all my download problems disappeared - and my ping and download speeds have significantly increased.


Borrow a modem/router from a mate and see if it works for you.....
