Anyone who has installed the new update (3.1.3): any issues with it?

Just wondering how "safe" the new update is. Please report your experience with 3.1.3

I must also say that I had NO other issues with the 3.1.3 update except for the break in the iPod integration with my particular head unit. All other aspects of 3.1.3 were fine. However, this break in iPod integration was enough for me to warrant the backdate and I saw no other advantage to running 3.1.3 as opposed to 3.1.2 as it "fixed" nothing for me but instead, disabled a well used feature.

My iPod freezes whenever I press the lock/power button or manage to unlock the device. If I play songs for about 3 or 4 minutes, a spinning thing, that you see whenever something is loading, shows up. After the spinning thingy of intricate horror stays there for a certain amount of time, my iPod resets or turns itself off. Very annoying, since I can't listen to music!

Try this tip for unfreezing the iPod:

1) Freeze your iPod...
2) Hold the power and home buttons down *very hard* for a second.
3) Perform a victory dance.

4) Watch in horror towards the iPod as it freezes again... and again...

Apple says:

"This update for iPhone and iPod touch contains bug fixes and improvements, including the following:

Improves the accuracy of the reported battery level on the iPhone 3GS

Resolves an issue where third party applications would not launch in some instances

Fixes a particular bug where some apps crash while using the Japanese Kana keyboard. "
