Installed 10.6.3 and now Photoshop CS3 won't open

Ever since I upgraded to Snow Leopard, Photoshop CS3 hasn't been the same. Whether it is the OS or the new drivers to manage my printer and my scanner, I don't know.

Today, I had been working on Photoshop all day and at some point the computer got slow and it told me it had a software update. I decided to save everything I was doing, quit Photoshop and install Mac OS 10.6.3 hoping it was the answer to all the glitches.

Instead, Photoshop won't open at all anymore. I have restarted, shut down, repaired permissions, reinstalled the program, updated everything and it still won't open. It's the only program affected from my design suite as far as I can tell, but it's also the one I use the most!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First Generation Mac Pro,
CS 3 quites on start up and Aperture needs a serial number again.
This time Apple screwed up - take away Adobes CS and the machine becomes obsolete.

OK, did another disk permission repair and no matter how often I do it, I get the following massage:

Permissions differ on "usr/share/derby", should be drwxr-xr-x , they are lrwxr-xr-x .
Repaired "usr/share/derby".
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Permissions differ on "private/etc/resolv.conf", should be lrwxr-xr-x , they are -rwxr-xr-x .
Repaired "private/etc/resolv.conf".

Anyone knows what that is, or why it says it repaired it, but didn't?
Every time I do a permission repair, the massage stays the same.
Cheers

Moich, "will not install" means that the installer fails out at the end of the install process with "component failed to install" error messages for 6 of the 10 components. After the last post, I got on the phone with Adobe support and did an install in safe mode, after deleting all records of Adobe products on the machine. Same errors, so likely not an error with fonts, profiles, or 3rd party. Now trying the install-from-HD trick mentioned above.

In relation to Aperture. After I put in the Aperture 3 upgrade serial number and the Aperture 2 serial number, Aperture decided it had to upgrade my whole library (11,000+ images). So, I've been waiting for it to finish for the last couple hours and unable to do any actual work. CS 3 won't open and Aperture is busy converting an already convert library. Back to Scrabble.

Well, I just did a downgrade to 10.6.2
For everyone who doesn't know how to do that (I didn't until an hour ago):
Just start your instal disk for 10.6 and instal the system again. Took about 45 minutes. You are back to 10.6 and need to instal the upgrade to 10.6.2 and the security update from January.
Everything is back to normal. All CS3 Apps work normal, Aperture and Shake know their serial numbers and I didn't notice ANY changes to before the update to 10.6.3
I'll leave it at 10.6.2 and get some work done - this stupid update took more than 3 hours out of my work time!
Cheers
