Security code is invalid. iTunes for iTouch.

Due to an issue with my computer, I am forced to buy my songs from my iPod Touch. But when I try to purchase new songs, I get a message saying I need to enter my billing info and it takes me to a screen that says I need to insert my security code, and when I do, it says the number I put in is invalid.

Hello! I have been having the same problem on my iPod Touch. It keeps saying that my security code is wrong. But do not worry! I have found a solution! Buy a prepaid credit card. Ex. Vanilla visa. Put the prepaid credit card information onto your account. Then save it. After you save it, go back and press on the credit card section. Choose "none". After that, put in your regular credit card and should be solved unless there is something wrong with your credit card

Better yet, instead of adding another credit card, just select None, save it then go back and re-add your CC info.

I have been having the same issue. I read the fine print on the itunes store policy. It states that if u use the same credit card on another device such as another iphone or ipad etc, then u can only switch back every 90 days. What happened to me was~~ everything was just fine until my husband decieded to use my credit card from my ipad on his iphone itunes store. everysince then i cant update due to "invalid sec. code"!!! So i am guessing i now have to wait the 90 days before i can put the credit card back on my ipad. Its been i month so far. Not even sure if this is the solution but i did read that you can only switch credit card info from device to device once every 90 days. Dumbest thing i have ever heard!!!!!😠😕😟😮👿

This is my issue. Won't let me select none because I have a balance (which is only there because of this problem in the first place. Why'd they even let me buy the ****** songs if my payment info was supposedly wrong?), but it won't let me pay off the stupid balance. I tried another credit card. I double checked my address. I've tried every single tip and trick listed here. The only thing I haven't tried is an iTunes giftcard because it's nearly midnight.

I luckily got ahold of a sympathetic manager through apple tech support, who contacted iTunes support via a chat function. Unfortunately, my timing was bad and iTunes support had just closed. (D'Oh!) But she said that I could call back tomorow if changing my payment info didn't work (which it didn't), so I plan to do pretty much that, since the e-mail tech support for iTunes is pretty much crap. At least this way they have an actual apple rep hounding them about it.

I may try an iTunes gift card. But I'm hesitant about that, since I've heard people saying that it doesn't work.

Oh, and I actually got a second error occasionally. Instead of invalid security code, it occasionally instead says that payment procesing cannot be completed at this time. Well, that's wonderfull. Never seen a company have so much trouble ACCEPTING MONEY.

I had the same problem so I decided to re-enter my credit card info and for some reason my expiration date was wrong so I fixed that and entered the same security code that was supposedly wrong and whoala! I'm now able to download apps from my iPhone. I suggest that everyone that's having this same problem to re-enter their credit card info. This might be the solution to the problem.

Same problem. I haven't changed my account billing information at all, but iTunes just randomly told me my security code is invalid when I tried to update an app this morning. I verified that the security code, debit card number and expiration date stored are, in fact, correct. I tried re-inputting the security code at least a dozen times and iTunes keeps telling me it's invalid. I have never had a problem with my card, and it continues to work everywhere else but iTunes.

I do NOT have an outstanding balance with Apple and I am using a valid CC but yet I get the same error message, Please enter a valid security code. I will call my bank tomorrow and see if it is a problem with my card or Apple itself. I have recently updated my phone and now I cannot update any of my apps on my phone due to this problem, however, I do know that for security reasons my bank will not let any charges under $5.00 go through over the internet.
