UK Pre-order - "Shipped By" or "Delivered By"??

So, I pre-ordered my iPad, an O2 micro-sim and a case at 12.22am on the 10th May.

I notice my order status says "Estimated shipping by May 28th", so I phoned Apple to enquire as to whether I could expect delivery on the 28th.

The rep told me that some orders show "estimated delivery by May 28th" and some show "estimated shipping by May 28th"

Now, if it means they're not going to ship my iPad before the 28th..then I'm not too pleased!!

So the question is...does anyone in the UK's order status say "delivered by May 28th"??

I have just telephoned TNT as my consignment number is working and showing progress.

The woman there told me that they will definitely be delivered tomorrow. Seems they are currently working through and scanning them for dispatch!

Used the TNT tracker http://www.tnt.com/webtracker international section. Put nine digit number starting 8023XXXXX in as consignment number and hey presto!

Lucky you :P I wish I knew if mine was going to be delivered tomorrow. Getting it sent to work and I'm there tomorrow and Friday but I'm not there Sat :P

Are you with TNT? They appear to have been working through the scanning over the last three hours or so.

No, UPS. It's been at billing received since this morning. Might still have a chance though :P

I ordered mine on the 10th the uk website says not yet shipped but when I go to the US web page it says prepered for shipment I will be fuming cross if I dont get mine on the 10th I had my order confirmation at 8:45am and 5 people have at apple customer service have confirmed I will have it

Mine is showing "Billing info received" on UPS following shipping notification on 22nd. I'll be really disappointed if it doesn't arrive with me on friday. I'm working at home especially!!!!

This forum has been really useful through the whole process - they have info from UPS customers as well. Might help you.

same for me. I am waiting here in Spain. Mine is with UPS. Tracking info limited.
I called UPS direct and they have little info other than the fact they have to get my order to me "on 28th maximum" to quote them. It is a "special parcel offer" they are running with their clients, probably explaining why when I track, it says "UPS SAVER".

Anyway, by all accounts, they are at liberty to get them to the door by 28th or earlier. In theory.

The tracking links have been greyed out in apple order info - but I have a window still open from before that - to a url starting with

That was showing estimated delivery 28 may but has changed to 27 May today,
so perhaps they will begin delivering tomorrow - guess they have a lot to get through. Mine is UPS...

I have just spoken to TNT on the phone, they are very helpful. They have confirmed that mine will be delivered tomorrow between 9am and 6pm, I ordered mine on the 11th May.

Just fingers crossed it turns up now.

Mine still says June shipment, I am going to go to the Apple Store on Friday and see if I can get one then I can cancel my on-line order.

I also now have the tracking info for UPS back on the Apple site and the Apple info has been updated to show delivery on the 27th!!!!

UPS still only showing that Billing Information Received, but it is progress.

For people with UPS orders, I've just called them and got told that the iPad's are on track to be delivered either Thursday or Friday.
Due to the sheer volume of iPads being sent, the online tracking is not being updated in the usual way, so it might not get updated even when it gets delivered.
Apple are sending them via normal posting options so they will be delivered during normal working hours, ie, 9-5 as far as i know.

I think my iPad will deliver tomorrow! Currently shipping in UK to my address now! 'In Transit'. From TNT UK, checking using 'Deliver Status' on my iPhone! Here it is!
