UK Pre-order - "Shipped By" or "Delivered By"??

Yay - my delivery details just updated on Apple's Order Status page and TNT. Item was apparently 'In Transit' from Nuneaton at 15.35. Delivery date, according to Apple page now 27th May. Might get it a day early, what a bonus. :-D

Mine is now showing up for delivery 26th - I'll believe it when I see it - watch this space 😉

Do you think there will be a lot of people going to the Trafford Centre Apple Store on Friday?

Order now shows delivery for tomorrow, 27th May 2010 and my town
TNT tracking shows same info, guess it is on final leg of journey...

I just had a flag on their tracker to call TNT (had delivery confirmed for tomorrow earlier today) but they were just confirming that it will be delivered tomorrow.

Seems if you're with TNT they're gearing up and no need to panic if they request that you call!

Apple order details pages seem to be down. Keep getting the message "An Internal Server Error Has Occurred."

Just off the phone to TNT - I can collect it tomorrow after 9am! I had taken Friday off but they are delivering tomorrow.

Give them a ring and confirm! You don't want them delivering when you aint in!

Wow been lurking on this thread for ages, panicking about my (and everyone else's!) iPad preorder status.

Here's where I stand - and hopefully this might be helpful for some:

I preordered online at around 3am on the 10th of May. I ordered

1\ iPad 32 gb 3G
2\ O2 sim
3\ Apple Case
4\ Dock
5\ Dock to VGA cable

Stupidly, without realising, I had picked "ship them all together". ****.
The email confirmation I got said that the iPad is expected to be DELIVERED on the 28th of May, while the other items are expected to be SHIPPED on the 28th of May.

Having found this thread earlier this week I started to panic about my order. I checked my order status (both on the uk and us sites) and it says "not yet shipped. Ships by 28th of May).

I waited till today (Wednesday) and called Apple. A nice (Irish. Are they always Irish?) man told me that my order was definitely being prepared to ship today, and it will ship FROM THE UK. He said I should expect an email within the next 24 hours, and all the stuff should definitely be with me FRIDAY!

I haven't received the email yet - but I have noticed that the "cancel items" button on my order status is now greyed out. Pressing it tells me that the times are being prepared to be shipped and it's too late to turn back 🙂

I wonder though if the man wanted to shut me up by saying they're shipping from the UK. Can anyone confirm/dispute this fact? I thought they all came from China directly......

He also told me the courier should be UPS.

Fingers crossed! I have night shifts on Friday and what better way to while away the night than with the iPad?!

As an aside, I notice that page, numbers, keynote and ibooks are now available on itunes

Well, just called TNT and they confirmed mine is out for delivery tomorrow (Thursday)!

Yah, mine was picked up this afternoon from Nuneaton and is now in transit. Wonder, like others, if it'll turn up tomorrow. I'll have to get a house sitter 🙂 I've ordered 64 3G, case, O2 sim, dock and extra charger cable. Getting very excited now 🙂

Delivery confirmed as Thursday 27th 🙂

To all these who are worried about there orders

I ordered on the 10th at 4am and all the time it's says shipped by the 28th , no change

Callled apple and talked to very nice person at the other end, to be told that my iPad 3G , dock and o2 sim is well on it's way and that they are 2 days behind with the online status there is just sooooooooooooooo many orders,

It was that busy that I went through to a customer service centre in the U.S.A and was hold that extra staff have been drafted in through out,
