Wi-Fi Connected, but no internet access
Saw a few like issues posted here, but indicated fixes did not work, i.e., reboot router and iPad.
Thanks

I FOUND A SOLUTION!
Okay so just to describe my issue which was the same as what JF87 described; it was connected to the wifi and yet on safari to load facebook.com for example it would say it's not connected to the internet
BUT the really strange thing was that it would load google.com and apple.com but most other sites not. and the app store didn't work either. So clearly it was connected to the internet but there was something software related messing it up?
THEN it dawned upon me that my date&time settings were set to manual and the date was set for 3 years ago (from when I was trying to debug a seperate issue) and I'd left it like that.
I returned the date&time settings to normal and now it's working!
Maybe this will work for you, maybe not but I haven't seen it mentioned so I thought it would be good to post it
didn't work for me.
Thank you this was very helpful. 😉
Sweet Bliss to you
I had this problem as well. I turned off VPN Hotspots that had been previously connected, that worked for me.
This worked for me. I had tunnelbear installed on my iPad and it kept trying to connect to it via VPN.
Sorted now. Thanks a lot.
just reset your network settings from the general settings, and you will be ok.
I had a bunch of DNS addresses and just added 4.2.2.4 to the front of them and now it works!
This worked for me 2. TunnelBear is the culprit in my case. Thanks for everything
This is good advice (reset router to factory settings).
I did two other things and got mine working:
1. If you are replacing a modem use a NEW NAME for the new one.
2. I had also set some static IP addresses in my Cisco DPC3848V router and noticed on my iPhone that these same IP addresses were showing up in my DNS settings (looked in the little "i" beside the network name). That seemed weird so I deleted them from my router.
I did the new name and the delete of the static IP's in one move so I don't know which one helped.
Changed my DNS like you said, and my iPad works like normal on my home internet now!
thank you so much! Weird thing is that my device works at the gym and at work, but failed to work once I got home.
Was frustrating. Thanks for the helpful post.
I tried this on my iPhone 5s and it worked!
Same with my wife's iPad. Luckily I am using a PC and was able to view all the people with a similar problem. Tunnelbear was blocking the internet connection.
This did work but only for a few hours 😟 is there anything else I can do?
I Am probably going to save a ton of people's time. If you have your time set to far behind it won't connect to almo everything. Just res your current time and it shou work fine
I just wanted to say thank you so much for that comment. it fixed all my problems!! you are a life saver!
THanks, rebooting my Macbook air worked for me!
