Absolutely, Bpeacock22.
And here is the first video that was posted on this thread before yours (by chapstick)

For the sake of this thread becoming completely unhelpful and rambling...
The truth about the tomtom car kit and iphone 4 is that it all works super fine...
After a small easy modification to the mount. It will work for anyone and everyone. Yes it will!
The key to the modification is understanding that the dock on the tomtom rocks backwards and forwards. It is effectively a switch to make things work. It needs to be rocked fully backwards to work. Because iphone 4 is a bit more slim than other iphones this phone will not rock the dock backwards far enough without some help. The solution is to place a small pad of some sort, so that it sits between the dock and the back of your phone; So that you phone now presses on the back of the dock hard enough to push it fully back. This pad can be anything so long as it is of suitable thickness, such as thick card, a piece of soft velcro, even one of those slidey things you put under the feet of furniture to make them glide across the floor, that someone mentioned somewhere ( ! ).
If it doesn't work, then rethink the thickness of your pad.
Watch that youtube link.
And think about it.
In order to help folk find this magic solution, without having to wade through pages of waffle, perhaps folk can restrain from posting on this thread:
a) in order to moan that tomtom have designed their mount in such a way (get over it)
b) to announce to the world that it works (we know it does)
c) to whine that you are too stupid to fix a bit of stuff to your tomtom mount (come on, you play at the cutting edge of technology - you can do it!)
d) anything else that is totally off topic
There, I've said it.
Boy I'm feeling grumpy today.
sorry.
I'm not trolling.
