iOS4 update - now iPhone now reboots during phone call

After about 4 or 5 mins in a phone call my iPhone 3GS reboots itself for no apparent reason. this did not happen before I put the iOS4 update on it. Is the some way I can stop this happening, or revert back to the previous version?

One day without reboot since I had turn off 3g with 6 calls over 10 mins

HoopaVez, the courier will collect my phone (I am rural in the west of Ireland) tomorrow so I assume I will get my phone Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. I will report here.

Ok thanks. I've booked another appointment for tomorrow anyway so i'll let you all know how I get on. I'll ask what they will do if the new 3GS they give me has the same problems too.

I got my phone (the one the courier will collect and take away today) in November 2009. Its FCC ID is BCGA1303B, and has the problem.

For information I have a BCGA 1303A IC ID 579C-A1303A, on o2, purchased in January 2010.
Fine until OS4 and then 4.01 - many things tried.

got a new sim in january (germany, telekom) - but same problem.
That means problems of rebooting are not caused by sim

My 3GS reboots every 3 minutes regardless of whether I'm in a call or not. This continues even when the phone is locked. Extremely annoying.

Mine too, first got error #29 and now reboots every 3 minutes even on standby. It's useless

the restarts are random for me, could be 5 mins, 10 mins or 40mins into a conversation.
