iPhone won't connect to WiFi

It didn't work on my 4S. Still no wifi.

Any other suggestions?

i have been trying to update my iPhone 4 to the new ios6 software and it has been saying error when it is almost completed and now the wifi that i used to connect to wont connect. its not my router so i cannot reboot it but everyone else in my house connects to it but i cant and i dont know whats wrong with my phone 😟

You must fix the primary problem first - the error when updating. That may be the cause of your WiFi problem.

If the router you are connecting to is a home model and not an expensive commercial model it may also be the problem. The way to check is to attempt to connect to the router, then after it fails go to Settings/WiFi and tap on the arrow to the right of the network name. If the IP address is missing or begins with 169.254. then the problem is the router and the only fix is to reboot it.

I'm using the 4S and my wi-fi switch is greyed out too ... it says no wifi.

This morning and afternoon, it couldn't connect to my home network, and then it just suddenly greyed out! So, I don't think this could be a hardware problem.

I'm trying to back up my phone (but it won't for some reason!) I'm hoping maybe updating to ios 6 will help ... even though I've read that didn't help!

Oh, and I'm in India so I don't think this could be a network problem! Please help ... because I didn't buy my phone in India, which means I'm not even covered by warranty! 😟

My daughter phone was doing this I just had her shut it down, and when she turned it back on, it was able to connect to wifi.

I had a problem like this sorta but what it would do my phone the 4s model it say unable to connect to Mac network and it would never stay coneccted to the network/ wifi I am permanent using but what salvoes my problem is that I took it to the apple store and they just gave me a new iPhone 4S

Im having the same issue as J Lambart, although my Internet is working just fine on my Xbox and laptop. This is a brand new phone only a month or two old. I've restored it before and added it as a new phone. But it won't let me update or connect to wifi now. :/

I see a lot of responses saying to reset settings or restore phone, I'd like to avoid restoring the phone since it won't update and I can't seem to figure out how to upload multiple pictures from my camera(on my iPhone) to my iTunes/computer. I really don't want to loose all of my stuff again.

If the problem is only with your home WiFi reboot your router by turning it off for a few seconds.

Wow it actually connected, I didn't do anything though lol. Just stopped trying to connect it, 20 min later it connects :/

feels like since I received the new phone and updated to the 5.0 software it glitches out all the time and I have barely any data to spare to save more than 100 videos and photos, don't have a lot of apps either. :/

OMG!! i bought a iphone 4 off someone a week ago. and wifi wouldnt work for me the week i was so mad i thought i purchased a broken phone. Then i came here and tryed alll these diffrent methods people said to try and non of them worked until i turned on air plane mode, then turned it off. then wifi connected right up!! THANKS SOOOOOOOMUCHHH!!! for this post!

I have 2 3g iphones. One will Connect to our network while the other one refuses to even see the network. Tried everything nothing works. I give up.

Is it just your network it wont see, or any network?

Any network! Very frustrating.

If you have restored the phone as New and not restored your backup, and the phone still cannot connect to any WiFi network, the phone is broken. Get a new one.

A repair is probably in order.
