Iphone 4 blank and vibrate=dead

My iphone shut down today after 3 days since purchase i thought i had a message but the screen was off and it was constantly vibrating, wouldnt turn on or off and it would not go into dfu, i plugged it in to pc and it wasnt recognised, so i let it use the battery until it died (4hrs) 😟 then plugged it in and it woke up as if nothing happened, has anyone else had this problem and apple do you have a fix or is it a common fault until software update, hope it doesnt happen again as i need my phone incase of emergency for kids! Cheers

Mine keeps shutting off on me, and iTunes wont recognize it ... it does not even turn on.

" Finally, pressing and holding both the 'home' and 'power' buttons together for about 20-30 seconds seemed to remedy the issue. "

After 30 minutes of black screen, uncontrollable vibrating and refusing to shut off when I pressed the off button - I found this one thing and it worked. SO FRICKIN' WEIRD!

Me too...

Just now while at work, my iphone 4 suddenly vibrating non stop and have black screen. I keep on turning on and off but its unseccessful. I tried to connect also to my computer but it did not work and its keep on vibrating. Good to know there's google where i read lots of complaints regarding this matter. I tried one of Several post to press Home Screen and Turn/Off button key for 20-30 seconds and the vibration suddenly stopped and its working now. Its just like nothing happened. ....I just bought my cellphone 3 months ago...

Last night my iPhone 4 started vibrating violently for 2-3 minutes and died. Black screen!

Several hours prior to this deadly suicide, I had attempted to take photos and the camera screen was dark.

Several days prior to this, I couldn't receive some txt messages.

Thanks to this site/original post/solutions I got my phone back. What worked for my iPhone is exactly what Stevarga and heartshinegirl wrote.

hey i got something like that but mine i put my earbuds and put play on them and i can hear music so i said it works but when i connected to a pc or mac it says USB NOT RECOGNIZED and so i cannot restored and my power button doesn't work and also i move the volume buttons my iphone vibrates and I also cannot see the screen on a really light place so if someone can help me with this because my iphone has no insurance and i dont want to buy another one PLEASE HELP ME

the same thing just happened to me.received a call,then screen went blank and continous vibrating.then i pressed both home and start button, then restarted like nothing had happened. i had my iphone 4 for 4 years,no such problem before.i wanted to wait for iphone 6 but afraid this problem came back again and permanent
