outlook 2003 notes not syncing with iphone
Any sage advice on what's going on?

I have Outlook 2010 and iPad 3.
My notes and contacts were not syncing, but then I realized I have multiple accounts and Apple isn't clever enough to discern the different accounts (Blackberry does this in DM).
So, my solution was to go to account settings in Outlook 2010 and change the default account and default file.
Now my iPad is syncing all notes and contacts for the default account/file. You only get one, not multiple. Whichever is default. If you have a corporate exchange account that is usually the default.
YMMV
This seems to be one of those "historical" problems that either never get fixed or have multiple solutions. In my case, Outlook for Mac 2011 Notes wouldn't sync to my iPhone 4s - everything at latest levels: iTunes, iPhone, iOS and Office for Mac 2011.
My take on the solution is pretty simple: in Outlook for Mac, go to Tools/Sync Services and click on "Notes" if not checked. This solved the problem for me.
Hope this helps.

I am having the same issue with iTunes 10.7 on W7x64, iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.1.
I have tried deleting all notes (to veryify there are no issues with the subject line, etc. and even just created a single brand new note) and the same issue. it just spins in the 'syncing notes'. Support had me re-install iTunes and they are asking me to do the same for Outlook 2010 now. I haven't done that yet. I have also done the 'set as default' per this post for outlook's data file. no luck.
