Hidden Alerts on iPhone Still Ding on Apple Watch

Hello,

I have an iPhone XS Max and an Apple Watch series 4. The issue I'm running into is regarding group text messages... I'm on a group message where I've chosen to "Hide Alerts" on my iPhone, however I still get a ding on my watch every time a new message is sent. My watch notifications for phone and text are indeed set to mirror my phone.

It's become quite annoying and I cannot figure out how (or if it is possible) to disable this. Does anyone have any insight?

I am not aware of any way to change this. I've read of others indicating this happens, and have not seen a resolution. You can provide feedback to Apple here, Feedback - Apple Watch - Apple
