iTunes doesn't recognize my phone although I have 12.8 version

I just bought iPhone 8/

I have MacPro Yosemite 10.10.5

iTunes version 12.8


When I tried to sync my iPhone with iTunes it asks me to "To use your iPhone with iTunes, you need to install OS X 10.11.4 (or later)." . BUT when I go to software updates i receive a message " No updates available " so Im stack !!!!


What should I do - i want to sync my iTunes with all my music and other staff but Im in a dead end .


What should I do ?????
