Problem upgrading from Individual to Family Apple Music

I am trying to upgrade from my Individual Apple Music subscription to Family subscription in my iPhone. When I select my account in the app only seems to have the option for a 3 month free trial. When I select this I am told that I am already an Apple Music member. And that’s as far as it goes- it keeps going back to the free trial screen, but doesn’t seem to let me upgrade. Any ideas?

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having an issue with selecting the option to switch your Apple Music subscription to a Family account and I’m happy to help! First, I suggest checking out this article to be sure you have Set up Family Sharing and that your account is set up as the family organizer. Once you have that set up properly, follow the steps in the Start Sharing section to Get an Apple Music family subscription.

Hi Becky, thanks for your help- unfortunately it still doesn’t appear to be allowing me to do this. I have set up Family Sharing, and I am set as the organiser. When I click to select Apple Music to share it takes me to the following screen:

The only option appears to be start trial. When I select this I get:

Aand then I can’t get any further.

I don’t want a free trial- I just want to upgrade to Family, any ideas?
