I recently got a MacBook Pro and attempted to sync my photos from the photo library to the iPad via iTunes. I'm unable to to access the photo library in iTunes to sync (it's greyed out). Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Create a new Photos library, set that as the System Photo Library, then go back to the original and designate that one again.

Hopefully when you connect your iPad to iTunes and click "Photos" under "Settings" on the left bar, you see something like this:
I can get to that screen. However, when I try to select the Photos Library, it is greyed out and I can't select it.
See Designate a System Photo Library in Photos - Apple Support and make sure that you have designated a system photo library first.
