Transfer of itunes music onto non-ipod mp3 player (sandisk)

does anyone know how to transfer itunes music over to an mp3 player (non-ipod/sandisk) using the latest microsoft pro laptop? I'm trying to transfer by dragging and dropping each song from itunes directly over to the computer which it wouldn't let me do, then I tried dropping directly to the mp3 drive which it still won't let me do. Is there a certain setting I need to be in to make this work?

Camvet,

Also check the format of the audio files. If they are Apple Music they will not play in any model of Sandisk. If they are in AAC format (the music format sold in the iTunes Store) most Sandisk players will play them but some cannot; check the specs for your model.

You may need to drag and drop to say the desktop, then copy over what you've exported. Alternatively do everything in Windows Explorer.
