Two factor authorization and Apple tv

I have an older Apple TV (I believe 2nd generation) that I’m not able to sign in because of the two factor authentication. I’ve tried to use password the the 6 digit code at the end as suggested, but it still doesn’t work. Apparently i cannot turn off two factor authentication which means my Apple TV is useless. There’s got to be a way of making it work. Help please. thank you in advance!
