Does anybody know why I cannot play Brighteon videos on Macbook Air? The OS is High Sierra and Brighteon videos won't play in Firefox, Chrome, Opera or Safari. Adobe Flashplayer is up to date. The embedded videos don't load and the message always says "Error Code: MEDIA_ ERR_ UNKNOWN". Thanks to anybody who can help.

It's odd they won't play in any browser at all.
Post an EtreCheck report using the document icon at the bottom of the reply window.
They use HTML5. They play for me in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. Do you have any antivirus apps installed? There is nothing special about the videos to require any third-party plugins.
Real Player videos were not supported natively by Macs. One needed third-party plugins from Real.com. I don't know what their status is now.
As far as Brightcove, videos play on their site…

Thanks dialabrain but do you know why these videos can't be played on a MacBook Air? I believe the platform is Brightcove. I contacted them months ago but received no reply.
No I haven't installed an antivirus app. I've just reviewed my apps and can't see any that would be a problem....but obviously something is!
