Incomplete uploading to Shared Album

I have a MacBook Pro and iPhone XS that I use with my iCloud account.

I'm in the process of uploading 2006 photos to a Shared Album. I first created the Shared Album on my MacBook Pro. I then dragged the 2006 photos from my Library to the Shared Album. The sharing process began, first downloading the 2006 photos locally, and then uploading them.

However, it seems an issue has occurred. Only 1320 photos seem to have uploaded to the Shared Album when I check my MacBook Pro, but 1678 photos have been uploaded according to my iPhone XS. The uploading seems on my MacBook also seems to have halted (see below):

The bar does not appear to be moving at all. It's been like this all through last night.

Should I just wait a couple of days? I'm really confused. I like Apple's hardware and software, but iCloud is absolutely annoying.

I have managed to figure out how to solve this issue after a lot of trial and error. First, I tried again, starting fresh by deleting the album and trying to remake it. However, it still would stall and even several nights worth of uploading didn’t do anything.

The best way to solve this problem is by uploading smaller quantities of photos (e.g. 50-100 photos at a time) into the Shared Album. I managed to upload 2000+ photos within an hour doing it this way.
