According to some Twitter users, there are reported Apple iOS 12.1.2 update problems that could reportedly affect your cellular data service. Because this issue manifests itself when your iPhone with iOS 12.1.2 is connected to a carrier’s LTE network, limiting the device to use LTE for data but not voice should fix this for you.

1) Open the Settings app.

2) Tap Cellular or Mobile Data.

3) Be sure that the Cellular Data toggle has been switched to the ON position.

4) Tap Wi-Fi Calling, then disable the feature.

5) Go back, then choose Cellular Data options from the list.

6) Tap Enable 4G, then choose the option labeled Data Only.

I thought that I had found a solution, I looked online and found a post and tried it. I turned my phone on airplane mode for 15 seconds then powered down for 30 seconds and when i powered back up I actually had service. I was able to make calls and messages but when I fell asleep and awoke a couple hours later, I’m right back in the same situation ... no call no text no service (searching) . So frustrating and now the trick I tried won’t work again :-(

I received my iPhone today, they fedex expressed it to me.. they were unable to resolve the issue with my phone so they replaced it with a new one.. I inserted my sim and activated as normal, and no issues on the new device... so happy finally to have service again, and Apple support was great about solving my issue promptly. They sent me a fedex box to express my device to them and the very next day I received the new device.. and my advisor just called to check the status of my issue... I give Apple 5 stars for customer service and resolving issues!!!

Troubleshooting Steps:

I'm Using iphone 6s and iphone 5s lets have the Name A&B.

IOS Version A 12.1.2 and B 12.1

Carrier Version A 35 and B 34

1> In A i had tried two sim cards Jio and Vodafone. After inserted searching and displays the No Service on both sim cards.

2> In B i had tried those sim cards and it's working.

3> I had Restored A by using itunes in recovery mode and set up new phone eventhough the same issue.

Have been having the same issues with my iPhone 6s. My carrier says it is most likely due to the update but everything is reset, checked, & connected through their end. I have a scheduled call with apple support tomorrow at 1130. Hopefully they are able to resolve the issues. I will let you know. I understand you’re frustration. Have been trying to get my phone working since Christmas Day... AT&T, Walmart, & Straight Talk have tried all possibilities within their control..

After a recent update my iphone SE no longer connects to cellular service. it will only connect through the wifi. I have tried all the options listed here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201415, including going to the carrier. It seems like it may be an issue with this iOs update. I am currently on iOs 12.1.2. I would appreciate suggestions to get this working again. Should I roll back to 12.1.1?

I have the same issue on my iPhone 7. Unfortunately, the phone is out of warranty and it seems I will have to pay to resolve. Does that make sense given that it occurred directly after the 12.1.2 update? I did try all of the fixes that I could. I was not able to try changing LTE settings or WiFi calling as I could no longer access that section in settings.

My issue is not resolved either as of yet . I did what Apple told me to do, update and restore my phone thru iTunes so that I had a current or more current version of iOS 12.1.2 which made no sense, but I did it anyway and to no avail... still nothing not able to use my phone.. so I too will have to make a Two hour trip to my nearest Apple store, or wait for iOS version 12.1.3 to come out ... those were my options ... very frustrating and upsetting
