On my sons iPad mini I’m having difficulties turning the Bluetooth on. The symbol showing the Bluetooth is on doesn’t show, so there for I can’t connect anything. Help! Tried to restart and turn off the iPad and it didn’t help
The symbol does not appear in iOS 12. If you have something paired, such as a speaker or a headset, you may see either a headphone symbol or a battery indicator for the speaker. Otherwise, you will not see an icon at the top of your screen.

If you go to Settings>Bluetooth, is the toggle green? If so, bluetooth is on.
Are you trying to pair to a specific item?

Yes the toggle is on. But the symbol is not pppping up
