Java Command Line Tool

After updating to Mojave on my 27 Inch Imac Late 2015 I get a constant pop up telling me I have to install a "JDK" to use the Java Command Line. I seem to remember having the same issue when I upgraded to Lion. There was a fix for this I just cant remember what I did. Any help would be great. Thanks

Two options:

1) Uninstall the poorly written app that wants to use Java 6 -- two common ones are Adobe's CS or some Facebook audio chat

2) Install Apple's legacy Java 6. -- Download Java for OS X 2017-001
