Keyboard Problems

Certain keys on my keyboard aren't working and because of this I can't enter my password and login to my macbook. I tried to disable my filevault in recovery OS but it says "the supplied password failed to unlock the disk" , but I know it's the correct password. I also tried to password as it suggests but once I get back into the login screen it won't allow me to login.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would try by Resetting the NVRAM that holds your keyboard setttings

Resetting NVRAM

  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R.
  3. Turn on your Mac.
  4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you hear the startup sound.
  5. Hold these keys until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time.
  6. Release the keys.

After resetting NVRAM, you may need to reconfigure settings for speaker

volume, screen resolution, startup disk selection, and time zone

information.
