Update Verification is frozen

Thanks for the post in Apple Support Communities. I understand you're running into an issue updating your iPhone 5.

To double-check, which iOS version are you running currently under Settings > General > About, and which version are you trying to install?

I have a link with some great steps that should help with this type of issue, found under the "If you can’t reach the update server or can’t verify the update" section: Get help with over-the-air iOS updates. If it's not progressing beyond "Update requested" on your current Wi-Fi network, I recommend trying a different network, or updating using iTunes.
