Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I have an Apple TV 4th generation and am unable to get the CBC Gem app on it. When I click on the previous app icon for CBC it says there is an upgrade available and when I click on the upgrade button it takes me to the description of the new Gem app but it won't download or run.
I was wondering if anyone has successfully installed this app on an Apple tV?
Apparently I was not signed on to the app store. When I tried to download another app it asked me to sign in and enter my password. I don't know why Gem didn't say that but I finally got it working.

Yes, the only one i can't do is CBC Gem.
I have successfully installed it on my unit. Have you tried going directly to the app store to search for and download the app?

Make sure your Apple TV is up to date (12.1.1)
Reboot Apple TV and router
Well I have tried what you suggested but it didn't fix it.

Are you able to download other apps from the app store?
Interesting. Ok you may want to contact Apple support directly as they may be able to check if there's an issue on their end or suggest something further you can try.
Yes, that is weird that it didn’t prompt. As such I assumed you were already signed in. Anyway, I’m glad it’s sorted and it was no problem.
It is in my ATV 4 k.. I don’t recall adding it in myself
It probably just updated itself if you had automatic updates enabled.
