I have a new iPad Pro, turned it on, and it wanted to set everything up. Got past face-recognition and now it's been on "Setting up your Apple ID" forever. Cannot do anything with it. What should I do now? I see others have experienced this on many devices. Also I've had an Update Apple ID Settings notice on my iPhone X and cannot get that to work either.
this is happening with my New iPad Pro too! Its been stuck on the “setting up your Apple id” for over 20 hours. When i presa and hold the power button nothing happens. Very frustrating as I wanted to use my new iPad ASAP.

If this an iPad Pro without a home button, press and quickly release volume up button. Then press and release volume down button. Then press and keep holding the power button (hold past the swipe to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go.
If the iPad has a home button, press and hold both the power and home buttons at the same time (again hold past swipe to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons.
Once the iPad restarts, you should be able to continue the setup process.
