My iPhone 6 spotlight has stopped working. The pull down screen is not working when locating an app. For example, when I try to find "Calc", it shows what is available in itunes store, Siri knowledge, and websites etc. I've done several reboots with no help. I'm currently using IOS 12.1.2

Check after each step:

  1. Force your phone to restart: Hold the sleep/wake and home button until the Apple logo appears.
  2. Toggle a few apps off and on in settings and test again. If it works, continue with the rest of the apps.
  3. Reset Settings: Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings. This will not delete data, but all settings will be back to factory default. Have your WiFi password handy.
