MacBook Pro 2018 black display on startup

Preface: I got this MacBook Pro last May (2018). Is the newest one similar to the one with the touch bar.

Last night my MacBook Pro was perfectly fine and then I left it for a bit and came back and there was a thin green vertical line next to a thin orange vertical line when I opened it. Other than that, it worked fine, so I decided to restart it. It prompted me for an update, so I did that as well. When it finisged the lines were still there, but then all of a sudden the screen went black. The display is on, but the screen won't go to login. I tried leaving it overnight, but no luck. All I can see is a small interior crack where the lines originated, but I'm not sure how it got there (See pic).

Please help! I'm a college student with too many medical bills and student loans to be able to pay for this!

I had no idea what I was looking at. This would be a non-touch bar.
