iOS feature request

Why does iOS not have a useful mobile data use logger? There is no way to find out how much cellular data was used in the last 30 days, or in a defined billing cycle. Couple this to the fact that iOS devices use on average 2-3x what a comparable android device uses when it comes to mobile data and I suddenly understand how these carriers can sell 6GB or larger per month plans.

After the seventy or so taps to get to the cellular data usage page there is no way to use the data it has gathered. There is no date range select so you get numbers like 16GB for safari or facebook. System services with 8TB of usage. Who thought that this was a good idea? Sure you can reset it manually (losing all history) and then wait a few weeks and check but this does that help you when your carrier tries to say you went over your plan and you have zero way to find what app, or more likely iOS system service, did it?

There should be a way to check via a date range or simply add a last 30days view. if that is not a possibility add a billing cycle select and log the usage per app per cycle. A simple plain text .CSV would be all that was needed to keep the lifetime of the phone’s data usage.

FYI these are standard features on Android OS phones.
