Well, they have instructions to reverse it, but I wouldn't worry too much, you could check these once a month or so if the App Store doesn't hail you...

Well, I think that Terminal command only disabled MacOS Installer updates/upgrades, but can be reversed simply by///
softwareupdate --reset-ignored
As long as you didn't move that bundle out.
You can simply check for updates manually, that is what I do as I find any notification intrusive.
Thank you for your quick reply. I followed the instructions. Now I have buyer's remorse and worry that my action may have stopped not only “Upgrade to MacOS Mojave” notifications but future notifications that I may need, e.g. future updates to High Sierra 10.13.6 and security updates; or that if affected "Updates" info in Apple Store.
Thank you again! I am not computer savvy enough to follow the instructions to reverse it as they are not as detailed and specific as the original instructions to stop. I'll take your advice and wait and see what happens with future updates.
Thank you for your answer. I already followed instructions received earlier from BDAqua. My only concern is that my action may have stopped not only “Upgrade to MacOS Mojave” notifications but future notifications that I may need, e.g. future updates to High Sierra 10.13.6 and security updates; or that if affected "Updates" info in Apple Store.
Thank you for the third time! I moved the bundle to "Documents" and have it there. Still, the reset instructions are from 2010 and I am wary of following them. Once burned twice shy: I'll wait and see if my action to stop the update notification banners causes me any problems.
OK.
the easiest and only sure way to stop Mac OS notifications is to download the installer. When download is finished, do not install. Instead, make sure the installer is in your Applications folder - just leave it there. The app store background processchecks your hard drive to see what you have and what it can offer you. It will see the installer and stop nagging you.
