Disc warrior error code 2153,4903

Running from another volume, DiskWarrior couldn't rebuild Macintosh HD because it was still in use.

Previously, I had to reboot into the other volume's recovery Disk Utility to repair Macintosh HD because Disk Utility couldn't unmount Macintosh HD for the same reason.

After much struggle, I was able to use Disk Utility on another volume of the internal HD to repair Macintosh HD, and I was able to use Disk Warrior on an external backup HD to clean up the directory.

We can consider this case closed. Thanks for your help.

This was all an attempt to clean up MacIntosh HD OS X 10.10 before upgrading to 10.13, which turned out to be quite difficult, too.

I have been buying Apple computers since the Apple IIe because they were much easier to use than the competition. I guess those days are long gone.
