Youtube in Safari only support 720p

Got a new iPad Pro 11” and the highest resolution is 720p? Is there a fix to this problem?

iPad pro safari is not able to display youtube in full screen. Have had this problem since I first got it. The error message, when I get one, says that your browser doesn't support this mode. Other browsers work fine, at least Puffin does. Puffin is my go to when safari doesn't work, like when you're in Lagos, Nigeria. It's (Puffin) a life saver.

Viewing videos in 4k on youtube Hi everybody. I can't watch 4k videos in the YouTube app, it doesn't work in safari either, and unfortunately in Google chrome too. The VP9 codec was turned on in the safari settings , but it didn 't help . Help anyone who has encountered this . iPad Pro 10.5 2017 ios 15.3 thx! ;)

How will it add 3 steps when starting videos in YouTube app? More like other way around, if viewing YouTube in browser.

Not all content on YouTube is in 1080p

And mobile Web browsers could be limited to video @ 720p.

I have an older iPad Pro.

Most of the content I watch on YouTube using a third party mobile Web browser, seems to be limited to 720p.

With the YouTube app, it is the same, too!

Not all content can be streamed to 1080p.

Both YouTube on the Web and in the app, if you are logged into your YouTube account, you can set up YouTube to automatically set the best video resolution.

Also, but NOT sure, to stream higher resolution content, you may have to subscribed to Google/YouTube's more expensive monthly subscription/“conscription” fee to get certain YouTube features missing from the standard YouTube experience.
