Have reset this numerous times. Nothing has helped. Tried closing all apps on both. Nothing has not helped. All is paired and the watch rings when the phone rings. It connects but when speaking after answering no sound AT ALL.

Start by checking visually that the microphone is not obstructed by debris or a protective case. If this is ok test the mic, the easy way is to bring Siri to life and ask a question, your words (or at least something close) should appear on screen. If Siri can’t hear you the mic is probably defective and you need service on your watch, Contact Apple Support
