connection apple mac mini 2018 to HP Pavilion Wireless Keyboard and Mouse 800

I recently upgraded our mac mini, and very happy with it so far.

Purchased a HP Pavilion Wireless Keyboard and Mouse 800.

The mouse connects and works without issue, but I cannot get the keyboard to work. After booting the mini the mouse connects but the keyboard will only allow volume and brightness adjustments. It wont type.

The combination is wireless and comes with a USB dongle.

Has anyone else come across this given i've had no other issues with BYOD accessories?

could be a stuck FN key or whatever hp call the key which alters between special purpose functions of keys and normal key operations

Hi lllaass,

thank you for your suggestion, I just tried in on my macbook air, same result. Mouse works, some keys work like brightness and sound, but thats it?
