Genius results can't be updated right now. The network connection was reset

For some odd reason, recently I was trying to sync my itunes with my iphone Apple music and now when I go edit > preferences > check iCloud Music Library

it gives me that error "Genius results can't be updated right now. The network connection was reset, make sure your network connection is active and try again" my internet is working perfectly fine and still I get that and I also just got a problem with enabling iCloud music library on my iphone

It’s working fine now, I just unplugged my router power cable and waited a few minutes and plugged it back in, it could be the problem but on my cellular Apple Music works perfectly fine so I think it’s solved for now.

thanks for your help everyone, appreciate it

Hello Daniel_Joseph,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with iCloud Music Library on your iPhone.

I recommend the troubleshooting provided in this help article: Get help with iCloud Music Library - Apple Support

The article recommends testing while using your cellular connection. To do this, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi. Please be aware that this will use your cellular data until you re-enable Wi-Fi.

You can also test this while connected to another wireless network if you prefer. Please make sure the network meets these requirements: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support

Thanks and have a wonderful day.

Hello Daniel_Joseph,

It seems like this may be related to the wireless network you are connected to. You mention that the issue is not occurring while the phone is connected to iTunes.
