T2 Encryption Chip causes Kernel Panics?

Hi,

I have a Summer refresh, 2018 13" Macbook Pro with a touch bar. I've been getting kernel panics caused by the Bridge OS that is linked to the T2 Encryption chips on the newer Macbook pro's. This chip handles a lot of different things like audio, filevault, etc. I was having problems with this chip causing my computer to shutdown unexpectedly whenever I would run CPU or GPU intensive applications. I took it to the apple store and got the logic board replaced and everything seemed okay. It's been about a week since I had my computer fixed. I wanted to hook up a DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) to my Macbook in order to listen to some music. The computer detects my DAC via USB Type-B and everything works without a hitch.

Whenever I directly turn off my DAC, my computer will ALWAYS freeze and kernel panic. I turn on the computer and I get an error with the T2 encryption chip via bridge os.

Does anyone else have similar experiences?

My 2018 Mac Mini crashes with Kernel Panic reported from BridgeOS shortly after connecting remotely using Apple Remote Desktop. I can reproduce the issue quite consistently. I’ve reformatted and clean installed Mojave to no avail. Am monitoring the ongoing discussion around T2 issues to decide whether to phone it in as hardware issue before warranty expires.
