Camera wont save photos/images to roll on iPhone 8 Plus

Hi,

I'm getting a persistent problem on iphone8 (ios 12.1.3) where my camera stops saving photos to the camera roll and it no longer save images from other apps (even though the phone says they have been saved). Its happened 3 times now & the phone is only 6 months old.

I have tried the 'fix' - turn off phone / restart / take photo / message send to roll. This worked once but the problem has returned and now when I go through the process the message buttons are greyed out and the fix wont work.

Can anyone help?
