MacBook Pro 2010 15" GPU Panic - fix (potential)

After searching hi and low all over the internet, i ran across a nifty little app (open source and free) that basically disables the Nvidia video card.

MBPMid2010-GPU-Fix-0.6.1 available on GitHub.

It worked for my MacBook Pro.

It does require that you disable SIP in recovery mode terminal (csrutil disable) and restart, then install and run gpufix... then enable SIP (csrutil enable)

It will work as long as you do not do any MAC OS software updates. If MAC OS updates are done you simply need to run GPUfx again..

Sure beats having to layout hard earned cash for a repair that may or may not work.

Cheers
