New iPhone XS Max won’t ring.

New iPhone XS Max won’t ring in car even though it’s connected to Bluetooth. Nothing is on silent, nothing is on do not disturb. I need to be able to get Bluetooth calls in my car when I’m driving and the car play won’t set up fully - just keeps loading. Shouldn’t it work without it though?

My new iPhone 14 pro connects to my car via bluetooth, but I can only control and play music or podcasts, not make or receive phone calls. I've tried unpairing and pairing my phone with my car, checking my settings, but nothing works. When a call comes in it is on the phone only, so I can't answer while driving. As soon as the call is over (or the phone stops ringing), whatever music or podcast was playing at the time the call came in continues. IPhone 7 Bluetooth connection with Volvo XC60 Just bought a new to me car (2015 model). Can connect to my phone but can’t receive calls and when I make a call the phone doesn’t connect so the person can hear me but the reply doesn’t come through the car speakers. Also can connect to my music but can’t access it through the car system - have to control via my phone. Followed Volvo’s suggestion of deleting and re-paring. Not helped. Any ideas gratefully received.

Update 14.4.2 - Bluetooth not working I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max running the current iOS update 14.4.2 and cannot link my Bluetooth to my vehicle for anything other than Apple Music. I cannot receive or make phone calls “hands free” any longer since this new update & seriously need advice how to resolve. I’ve deleted and repaired my phone Bluetooth with my vehicle and there’s no change

That sounds as if it is setting in the car. Have look in your Bluetooth connection and check it says all are ticked
