Solid black screen when trying to play movies through iTunes

When I go to play movies in iTunes, a black screen comes up. There is no cover art or movie control options. I'm able to navigate through "Finder" to the iTunes folder and play the movie using QuickTime. This is also happening on my MacBook air.

Itunes: 12.8.2.3

iMac 2013:

maxOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

8GM 1600 MHz DDR3

Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

iMac Line (2012 and Later)

See If you can't stream or watch video content from the iTunes Store or third-party apps - Apple Support.

I tested the movies in iTunes and I'm no longer getting the black screen. The movies are playing like normal.
