Numbers: Create Custom Format is greyed out

Hi

I am trying to apply a custom format in my spreadsheet but the function is greyed out. This is happening on every tab and table.

I copied a cell from another spreadsheet with a custom format and i now have a specific custom format but still the create function is unavailable.

I have opened a new spreadsheet and the function is available.

Is there a setting that needs to be turned on?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Hi SG

Thanks for you help. This is what i have done:

Completely shut down and restarted.

opened the offending spreadsheet (SS1) - create custom format is greyed out

opened a new spreadsheet (SS2) - create custom format is selectable

copied tables from SS1 to SS2 but it did not copy the formulas - create custom format is selectable

so it looks like SS1 is corrupt in some way or is it because i am collaborating SS1 with another person?

Thanks

Alan
