com.apple.commerce.client error 500

My MacBook Pro 13" has just come back from the SSD repair program (https://www.apple.com/support/13-inch-macbook-pro-solid-state-drive-service-program/) with the latest version of Mojave.

Now, AppStore doesn't let me to sign in or download anything, I'm receiving the message of "com.apple.commerce.client error 500".

I have tried to restore the system (re-installing the latest version), using a test user and to connect on different Wi-Fi's. Also contacted to Apple Customer Service numerous times.

Have anyone been able to fix this problem yet?

I had the same problem, and tried several times only signing out and in from iCloud preferences, it didn't work. After few attempts I erased the following files that are in Libraries, finally I could start AppStore and download apps.

com.apple.appstore.commerce.plist

com.apple.appstore.plist

com.apple.appstored.plist

com.apple.commerce.configurator.plist

com.apple.commerce.knownclients.plist

com.apple.commerce.plist

I hope this could work for you

I had the same problem. Solution: Go to System Preferences -> iCloud -> Sign Out.

Then over there, sign in again with your iCloud account. And you will be automatically signed-in in App Store and be able to download apps. It will ask for a password though.

Do this too after the above

Go Back into App Store look bottom left and click on your account make sure every thing is correct.

Click on any free app when the signin screen pops up enter password thats it

Hi, it’s useless to login in App Store when you have this error. To fix it, go to System Preferences, in the window go to iCloud. You will see Logout button, click it to log out. When you have logged out, click on Login to login again. Enter your Apple ID email and password. Only after that, you can go to App Store and download apps. Your password will be accepted and error will not appear.

I experienced this error after doing upgrade from El Capitan to Mojave. And only this solution helped me.

hi!

I did what you said, as I mentioned. I did this 3 times. And even once I did it I restarted Mac just in case.

Log out from iCloud and Log in again didn't help.

I did everything as you said.

Do you think there's other option?

I use Mac for work and I really need that to be done, because I cannot download any apps and cannot be productive (((

Ho avuto lo stesso problema e ho provato diverse volte solo a disconnetterti e in arrivo dalle preferenze di iCloud, non ha funzionato. Dopo pochi tentativi ho cancellato i seguenti file e finalmente potuto avviare AppStore e scaricare app, questi file sono in Librerie.

com.apple.appstore.commerce.plist

com.apple.appstore.plist

com.apple.appstored.plist

com.apple.commerce.configurator.plist

com.apple.commerce.knownclients.plist

com.apple.commerce.plist

Spero che questo possa funzionare per te.
